Faculty: Have you considered using Explore?
Please read note at bottom of this page if you are a Law Center faculty member.
Explore is the university's Web repository for news and information, including faculty profiles. You can post your contact information, personal biography, publications, biography picture, and more. In addition, your profile can be referenced in news stories that appear on the Georgetown University home page.
No HTML knowledge or software is required in order to use Explore! It is accessible from most Internet-ready browsers.
Your information will be made available alongside other faculty members at http://explore.georgetown.edu/faculty/. Please visit this site to see how fellow faculty members are utilizing their Explore profiles.
Once you create your Explore profile, you can distribute the URL http://explore.georgetown.edu/faculty/yournetID/ to other individuals so they can see your profile.
In some instances, your departmental administrator can make changes to your Explore profile on your behalf. Please speak to your department's administrative assistant to see if this feature is currently being utilized.
To start working on your profile, go to http://explore.georgetown.edu/, look for the sentence "Faculty can log in to manage their faculty profiles including syllabi and publications.", click on the sentence to log into Explore, and then select "Update your faculty profile" to get started.
Otherwise, you can request a Web space account if Explore does not meet your needs. Click here to go to our online form to get the process started. For our records, please indicate why Explore did not meet your needs at this time.
Note to Law Center Faculty: The Law Center Information Systems Technology department provides Web space to faculty members. Please contact them for more information about this by e-mailing helpdesk at law.georgetown.edu.
